Melbourne Engineering Group is a civil and structural engineering practice founded by Atbin Soleiman, focused on footings, foundations, piling and the structures they support.

Atbin Soleiman
Atbin designs foundations and the structures they support. His work runs from residential footings on Melbourne's reactive clays to pile design for utility-scale solar farms, and includes beams and skids for inverters and BESS units, light poles and their base plates, structural connections, infrastructure footings and crane pads.
Alongside design, Atbin inspects construction, reviews designs prepared by other engineers and assesses existing structures when something has gone wrong. That combination is deliberate: seeing how designs perform on site makes for better designs, and designing makes for sharper reviews.

Registered with the Business Licensing Authority under the Professional Engineers Registration Act 2019, and endorsed to work in the building industry. - Also registered in New South Wales and Tasmania

How MEG works
Principal-led. Atbin leads every engagement: he scopes the work, is your point of contact and takes responsibility for the engineering MEG issues.
Clear scope. Every job starts with a written proposal that sets out what's included, what isn't, what we need from you, and the fee and programme. An initial conversation about your project and a fee proposal cost nothing. Engineering advice, reviews, designs and reports are provided once you've accepted a proposal.
Trusted specialists. Some projects need other disciplines, such as a geotechnical investigation, electrical design or materials testing. We work with suitable specialists and coordinate with them, and we're clear about who is responsible for each part.
Where we work
MEG is based in Melbourne and works across Victoria, New South Wales and Tasmania. Meetings are by appointment, on site or online.
Atbin is also registered in New South Wales and Tasmania, so MEG can take on projects in those states. For projects elsewhere, tell us where the project is and we'll confirm how we can be involved.
